Hello, I'm Srikant!
I’m a Google, Bing, HubSpot, Hootsuite, HP, Twitter & Facebook Certified Digital Strategist and an excellent Site Merchandiser, Inbound Marketer with over 9 years of experience.
Coming from a Computer Science background and gathering expertise in Digital Marketing, I’m an amalgamation of both these fields. Having worked with marquee companies like Google, Amazon, Landmark Group, I feel quite privileged to have gained tremendous exposure in the field of Marketing and which in turn has improved my Creative Thinking & Entrepreneurship skills. It’s great to get that adrenaline rush when you’re invited to big digital conferences of the likes of Customer Engagement Symposium, Customer Engagement Technology etc.. conducted by organizations like SAP, Microsoft and many more.
Motivation
Let’s get into some deep insights:
During my childhood, I was an introvert and was pretty scared of moving out of my comfort zone. I never used to like going to school and used to cry during my kindergarten days when my Mom dropped me to the school. The toughest part was to learn Mathematics as I was scared of numbers. However, all this changed in the 3rd grade when my Mathematics teacher took extra care of me and was strict enough to get that phobia out of me. On the flipside, I used to love English as a subject and was a Spellbee champ in my school.
This love for English as well as the creative kid inside, urged me to work upon my Personal Blog site. I had to put aside sufficient time from my office work and focus upon the design, logo & social media profiles for my website. The hardest part was to write SEO optimized content which would eventually start ranking well on different search engines.
I knew how to market myself in the real world, but I became a little pessimistic as to what would happen if this backfires! As in, the countless hours put into creating a great website and writing engaging content would go into drain if the traffic does not come to the website. Couple of days passed by, and I slowly started to acquire more self-confidence and calmed myself down after watching some motivational videos of Sandeep Maheshwari I decided that it’s now or never and I was determined to make it big in the corporate field.
Let me tell you a small secret. This is not the first website that I have built and blogged upon. I used to own another site earlier which I eventually sold it off to a Srilankan organization.
My 9 years plus Digital Marketing career as well as my experience with the previous website, helped me in getting it right this time without any hiccups. I never wanted to reveal my name in my previous website explicitly. But I wanted this blog to be under my name, putting my personal brand at the forefront as I wanted people to know about me. I felt that this would act as a perfect portfolio for my eventually booming Entrepreneurship career.
