Anyone up for an Apple Pie??

PREP: 10 MINS | COOK: 60 MINS | TOTAL: 70 MINS

INGREDIENTS:

For Pie Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 spoon Salt
  • 2 spoons Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 4 spoons water

For Apple Pie Filling

  • 3 Apples, peeled and sliced into approximately triangles.
  • 2 spoons Sugar
  • 3 spoons Corn flour
  • 1 spoon Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/2 spoon Salt
  • 2 spoons Milk with honey

DIRECTIONS:

1.Preheat the oven to 180 C and line a baking sheet with foil. Grease a pan with butter.

For the Filling:

1. In a large bowl, add the apples slices and add a spoon of sugar, a pinch of salt, a spoon of cinnamon powder and 3 spoons of corn flour. Mix all the ingredients.

2. In a separate bowl, add the milk and honey and keep it aside.

To make the crust:

1. In a bowl, add flour, salt, and sugar. Then add butter and add water to prepare a dough.

2. To make the crust in a food processor, cut the butter into 1-inch pieces and place them in the bowl of the food processor. Add the flour, salt and sugar. Process until all of the ingredients are mixed well. With the processor on, add the water a spoon at a time until the dough begins to clump. Then remove it from the food processor.

3. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

4. Post two hours, remove the dough and roll a small quantity of dough to make a flat base evenly on all sides as mentioned in the image. Roll another one to make a similar flat based.

5. Now take the first rolled flat based dough and place it in the pan.

Conclusion:

1. Pour apple mixture over the dough. Place the other flat based rolled dough over the filling.

2. Now apply the milk and honey mixture that we had prepared earlier. Make some cuts on the upper dough for the moisture to release.

3. Place the pie crust in the oven and bake it for 45 minutes.

4.Remove from the oven and allow the pie to rest for about 10 minutes.

5.Now cut the pie crust into pieces and serve it hot.

INGREDIENTS:

For Pie Crust

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup flour
  • 1⁄2 cup melted butter
  • 2 spoons vanilla extract
  • 1⁄2 refrigerated pie crust
  • 3 1⁄2 cups blackberries
  • 1 spoon sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 spoons water

DIRECTIONS:

1. Take a bowl and stir the sugar, flour, butter and vanilla.

2. Now add the blackberries.

3. Now add the blackberry mixture into a butter greased baking dish.

4. Cut the piecrust into strips and arrange upon the blackberry mixture.

5. Mix together the egg white and water.

6. Brush the pie crust strips with this egg wash.

7. Sprinkle with sugar.

8. Bake at 425 degrees Centigrade for 45 minutes and then cool it. Cut the crust into pieces and serve it with people.
